Production Supervisor

Responsibilities

The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising employees and organizing and monitoring workflow to ensure the production of quality products while maintaining plant efficiencies. 

•  Responsible for daily production goals
•  Accomplishes production goals by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures
•  Provides production information on performance and progress; answer questions and responds to requests for information
•  Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of 
all equipment and resources in compliance with established policies and procedures
•  Trains, develops, and provides direction to production employees
• Enforces compliance with safety guidelines and company standards
•  Supervises union employees and maintains working relationship by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreement while managing expectations of behavior

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering, or relevant field
• Previous supervisory experience in manufacturing or quality control in a union environment
• Knowledge of logic or process control system and familiarity with lab procedures, including lab 
  testing
