Regional Account Manager

Responsibilities

 

The Regional Account Manager represents ELANTAS North America in the assigned region and is responsible for managing the entire sales process. In this role the incumbent will actively engage with our existing customer base to continuously grow our market share and create entry points at targeted new accounts (prospects) to develop sales positions with ENA’s product portfolio.

The Regional Account Manager will be a quick learner with strong negotiation skills and demonstrated interpersonal effectiveness. The incumbent must have the ability to effectively address customer and prospect needs through products and service offerings. The incumbent will be tasked with giving presentations, attending networking events, and trade shows, and will be accountable for achievement of sales results.  The incumbent is expected to understand short to long term market trends, developing and executing the account strategy by effectively influencing and coordinating with regional teams.

 

The assigned region for this position is the West. The individual will work on a remote basis from a state within the region. 

 

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Represents our company’s products and services, with comprehensive understanding to identify how our solutions meet the needs of our customers.
  • Maintains current sales and promotes growth within the assigned territory based on the customer requirements and future needs.
  • Visits existing and potential customers as part of account management and business development.
  • Deploys principles of key account management to develop strong relationships with customers across multiple locations, functions, and hierarchical levels, including customers who have global footprints
  • Develops annual forecast on anticipated market sales.
  • Maintains records and prepares reports on all phases of activities.
  • Makes the organization’s services available to customers.
  • Refers complaints to proper departments within the organization and manages follow up to resolution.
  • Provides itineraries, files call reports, summary sheets and expense reports on a regular basis.
  • Ensures customers stay current on their account balances.
  • Assists the organization to create a safe and healthy working environment by working safely, using equipment provided and following instructions given for health and safety purposes and immediately reporting any unsafe working practices or hazardous working conditions.

  • Negotiate contracts, frame, and quality agreements on behalf of ELANTAS in alignment with the region.
  • Informs customers of supply and price trends.
  • Stays informed on new products and/or services and other general information of interest to customers.

Requirements

 

Qualification, knowledge, and experience

  • Bachelor of Science/chemical engineering/chemistry is preferred.
  • 3+ years of work experience in the Electrical/Electronics industry is preferred.
  • 3+ years of work experience as an Account Manager, with proven track record of delivering sales results
  • Proven ability to manage key customers, including those with global footprints
  • Solid understanding of the Electrical/Electronics industry in North America
  • Computer literate, able to efficiently use MS Office and other business systems e.g. SAP
  • Proven track record of sales growth and hunting for new opportunities
  • Proven understanding and experience in the selling process
  • Requires the skills to develop a comprehensive knowledge of resins, flexible insulation films and coatings for electric, electronic and engineered materials, their technology, sales, service and applications. Experience in selling into electric, electronic or engineered materials markets a plus
  • Works remotely (home office) and as part of a larger team.
  • Must be able to travel extensively and possess a valid passport.
  • Must be able to effectively deal with customers, distributors and to work well with people at all levels of the company.
