Maintenance Technician-GL

Responsibilities

 

Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment in a chemical processing environment. Scope of work is of a varied nature with minimum supervision.

  • Position will be subject to shift rotation as needed.
  • Prepares records of work performed, related materials and supplies used.
  • Overtime and weekend work is required.
  • Installs, repairs, and maintains process equipment.
  • Diagnoses process equipment failures.
  • Dismantles repairs and reassembles process equipment.
  • Directs work of Contractors as required.
  • Must be team oriented.
  • Uses typical mechanic’s tools and inspection equipment.
  • Works from drawings, verbal instructions or sketches.
  • Performs preventive maintenance.
  • Available for on call duties as required.
  • Must be willing and able to wear a respirator as required.
  • Confined Space entry is required.
  • Assist the organization to create a safe and healthy working environment by working safely, using equipment provided and following instructions given for health and safety purposes and immediately reporting any unsafe working practices or hazardous working conditions.

Requirements

 

  • Two year technical degree and minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical/electrical maintenance.
  • Applicants will be required to pass skills assessment testing.
  • Must be mechanically inclined. 
  • Must be physically able to perform Grade4 production “essential job functions”.
  • Must be able to effectively deal with internal and external customers of the company.
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
  • Basic computer skills required.
