Lab Chemist of Special Coatings End-Use
Responsibilities
This position is for a Chemist in the Special Coatings End-Use Application Laboratory in Shanghai, responsible for ensuring laboratory compliance and 5S management, assisting with localized product application testing and new product evaluation, and managing raw materials, consumables, and equipment maintenance. At the same time, it is necessary to support the laboratory manager and sales team in completing technical reports, documentation, and local and global technical services.
- Ensure that all laboratory work conform to regulations, industry standards and 5S.
- Give assistance to application test of localized products and new products evaluation in local system.
- Manage raw materials including chemicals and non-chemicals as well as lab consumables.
- Maintain lab facilities and precise instruments
- Give assistance to Lab Head, End Use Manager, Sales team etc. to achieve the sustainable growth of company.
- Provide / support technical presentation on public or in-house when necessary.
- Accomplish the documentation work like technical report, lab operation files, etc.
- Conduct technical services and key projects locally and globally.
- Other assigned work by supervisor.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in chemistry or relevant majors.
- 1-3 years working experience in coatings or related industry, including formulation design, laboratory operation and application.
- Have a good command of product, application and processing knowledge of water-borne coatings.
- Fluent oral and written English and good interpersonal skills.
- Highly self-motivated, conscientious with teamwork spirit.
- Good logical and analytical skills.
