Lab Chemist - Adhesive & Sealant, BL Industrial Applications

Responsibilities

 

This position is responsible for ensuring lab work being carried out in a safe manner and meeting all regulatory and industry standards. This includes additives evaluations, performance tests, lab safety management, maintaining related equipment and instruments, paperwork and other technical support on daily basis.

  • Ensure that all lab work is carried out in a safe manner and meet all regulatory and industry standards
  • Evaluate additives based on customers’ materials to find out solutions and generate reports based on test results.
  • Design adhesive formulations for investigating the performance of the full portfolio of additives to create innovative additive solutions toward adhesive applications.
  • Work with R&D to evaluate new additives in projects and actively communicate with R&D team and EndUse in the test results.
  • Support production transfer by testing the China-made products in local or guide formulations in lab.
  • Cooperate with the Headquarter lab in global projects and with the distributor’s lab. Exchange ideas and information with them on a regular basis.
  • Assist Functional EndUse manager, sales, customers etc. on daily basis.
  • Provide / support on technical training and inquiries when required.
  • Take charge of lab safety management and equipment / instruments maintenance.

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or relevant majors
  • Minimum 3 years of related technical experience in adhesive and sealant industry.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in Chinese and English
  • In-depth product, application and testing knowledge of Industrial Applications
  • Customer-oriented, mature with positive attitude, self-motivated, accurate, reliable, accountable and well organized
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Be aware of the company's and department's EHS goals, and strictly comply with the company's EHS standards and management requirements
