Utility Operator - 3rd Shift

Responsibilities

Primary Function:
The Utility Operator supports production by performing a wide range of operational tasks across multiple areas of the plant, including milling, smelting, polishing, and general labor. This position provides flexibility to meet production needs, ensures safe and efficient operation of equipment, and maintains product quality standards.

Essential Responsibilities:

Perform all duties associated with Mill Operator, Smelter Operator, Polisher, and Laborer roles as assigned.

Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety protocols for handling raw materials, and finished products.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to support a safe, compliant, and efficient workplace.

Accurately record production data, process parameters, and observations in logs and systems.

Support continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, and product quality.

Requirements

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. 3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
3. Experience in manual process environments.
4. Ability to work in an industrial environment.
5. All new hires must pass a physical examination and pre-employment drug screening to be employed.
6. Wearing a half mask respirator (PPE) may be required to perform the duties of this position and will necessitate being clean shaven when required.
