Production Laborer
Responsibilities
Primary Function
- The primary function of the Production Operator is to retrieve raw material, weigh, mix, and change over mixers as needed. The Production Laborer will engage in routine housekeeping, maintenance, and some packaging duties in the EIMC production facility as required.
Major Job Functions
- Accurately measures, prepares and scales-up batches of product per process order instructions.
- Accurately mixes product per process order instructions.
- Loads and cleans mixers.
- Charges vessels.
- Accurately packages and correctly weighed finished products including labeling.
- Retrieves, returns and changes raw materials.
- Performs basic warehouse inventory.
- Stocks finished goods.
- Performs general housekeeping of EIMC production facility.
- Other duties as assigned outside of batch making. This includes duties assigned by supervision to balance the daily work load within the available operators.
Requirements
- Ability to work with some independence, with management oversight, and exercise sound judgment.
- Customer focus.
- Basic mathematics skills.
- Ability to operate towmotors, lift trucks and pallet jacks.
- Fosters teamwork among staff and between functional areas.
- 1-2 years work experience in a chemical production facility.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform all duties necessary in an industrial setting.
- Physical Requirements
- Step up 18”
- Floor to waist lift of up to 50 pounds
- Waist to shoulder lift of up to 50 pounds
- Lift and Turn of up to 55 pounds (transfer of material)
- Push or pull a cart weighing up to 180 pounds
- Unilateral of 40 pounds for 10 feet
- Vertical pull, knee to waist using 50 pounds of force
- Horizontal push using 50 pounds of force
- Horizontal pull with 60 pounds of force
